I started reading the Valmiki Ramayanam, cross referencing all the ideas and words and places and people, on Sri Rama Navami and I have completed the entire Valmiki Ramayanam, including Uttarakanda today, about a week before Sivaratri – as per the phalasruthi, I have accumulated enough punyam now to reach Vishnu padam at the end of my life, and so will my Purvajas. I feel delighted and blessed. Did you know that one of the meanings of the word Rama is delight?
A personal note:
Many, many years ago, I had a dream, that I would keep turning left at a cross-road, and experience many hardships and escape them only when I said Rama, Rama….. Then I would return to the cross roads again, in a cycle. Then finally, I turned right and Sri Rama was right there, in all his glory with his devotees around him. And I sat there among them in all that bright light and I had no troubles any more.
This is a very happy moment for me. Jai Sri Ram!
