On March 1, 2010 at 10:19 am I received a very interesting comment on Hindu Women Priests.
Sri V. G. Raghavan said, “We have built a temple for sri Gayatri Devi at village Povalai near Gummudipoondi 80 kms from Chennai. this temple was inagurated on 25th feb 2010. Devi has 5 faces and 10 hands. 6foot tall,and all villagers neraby are coming daily.
we are looking for a lady priest as she will be able to connect better with devotees who are also mostly ladies. we also want to spread message of Gayatri mantra to villagers. priest should be agreeable to teach the villagers the mantra. may also need to help villagers to do samsakars.
can any one suggest where to look for such a person?
we provide boarding and lodging and decent comp. thanks in advance.”
I sent him an e-mail requesting for photographs and more details since I did want to make a blog post out of this and let everyone know about their wonderful intention. I just received a few minutes ago., these photos via e-mail.
