In the 4th chapter, 11th sloka of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says ..’ye yatha maam prapadyante, taam tathaiva bhajaamyaham’.
In whatever way I am approached, in that way do I worship (bhajaami) them.

aisī prīta baṛhi vrindāvana gopiyana nāca nacāī
Such love was abundant in vrindavana where he danced with cowherd girlsप्रेम के बस नृप सेवा किन्हिं आप बने हरि नाई
prema ke basa nṛpa sevā kinhiṁ āpa bane hari nāīसुर क्रुर एहि लायक नाहीं केहि लगे करहुं बढ़ाई
sura krura ehi lāyaka nāhīṁ kehi lage karahuṁ baṛhāī
How can this mean hearted Surdasa be suited to praise Him?
Surdasa was one of Krishna’s great devotees and the author of this lovely song.
