When we give importance to someone because they are related to us or to someone we love.,
or because of their social status or material achievements
or because of their birth
to anything other than the present word or present deed we are setting ourselves up for a blow.
They may have been angels in the past, is this deed kind?
Their intentions might be anything, is this word true?
They may be anything by birth or achievement or ability, are they right? right now?
Who gives others the power to hurt us? It is ourselves.
Who gives others that status and importance? It is ourselves.
Who gives others the power to stop us? It is ourselves.
Who gives others the ears that lead to our heart? It is ourselves.
