Gauthama Rishi did tapas for water in Gauthama Guha.. Near Ganga Godavari Dwar. On Brahmagiri, Siva threw his locks of hair and Ganga became Godavari and went underground. She resurfaced at Gangadwar which is the ugamasthan. Then some place down that hill, Rama shot an arrow into a tree and water gushed out. Pray at the Sitakund there to be relieved of bodily miseries.
