Travel : Gangadwar and Brahmagiri : Mountains of Tryambakeshwar
The mountains are covered by a light green grass this season. The air is pure. The steps are steep. The trail is rough. Good lung capacity is essential. Long term blog followers know about my quest for brahmagiri. This brahmagiri too I could not go up all the way, a purse stolen in the bus and the consequent phone calls used up precious time and energy. But I was told that Brahmaji meditated on this mountain. It is also believed that Shiva and Parvathi got married on Gangadwar because this was her place of meditation. Meenakshi and Sundareswara were married in Madurai, so there are alternate locations for this wonderful event as well. Enjoy the photos! I loved these mountains.
