Current Affairs : Happy Belated Independence Day!
64 years ago, Indians won a rather unique and multi-pronged battle that brought an end to about a 1000 years of foreign rule of various kinds. After this we have had a green revolution, a milk revolution, the IT phenomenon, globalisation and progress of many kinds.
People have been working so hard in so many areas, govt. as well as non govt. organisations to better the lot of their fellow Indians.
Today there is a revolution that is against corruption and interestingly enough not against the corrupt. It is for empowering the underprivileged masses. Let us support them and pray for their victory.
Will the corruption beneficiaries just say sorry to corruption victims, hold-their-ears (kaan pakadke) and resolve never to be corrupt again? Who knows? Anything can happen in India.
Will the present Chini-Pak-Bhai-Bhai have better consequences for Pak, than Hindi-Chini-Bhai-Bhai did for us?
Historically, any attempt to dominate India has resulted in a total and long term, loss of global status of those who made the attempt, whether it was economics, politics, culture or religion. It hasn’t stopped anyone from trying though!
Whatever problems we are facing today, they are not the last of our troubles. Our country and culture has survived for tens of thousands of years and the present miseries too shall pass to be replaced by new ones.
As I grow older and older and older, I am more and more and more convinced that our ancient spiritual wisdom and practice is what has protected us in the past and will protect us in the future. I increasingly believe that Swami Vivekananda was right.
The environment is teaching us that plundering natural resources and high levels of energy consumption is only shortening the life span and health of humanity. That the so-called development, might not be development at all.
Our highly westernised life styles are teaching us that money does not satisfy all our inner needs and that we need good health, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Strive for that final freedom – moksha!
Lyrics : from : http://www.lyricsera.com/531725-lyric-MUKESH-Kisi+Ki+Muskurahaton+Pe.html
(Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar
Kisika dard mil sake to le udhaar
Kisike waaste ho tere dil mein pyaar
Jeena issi ka naam hai) -2
(Maana apni jeb se fakeer hain
Phir bhi yaaron dil ke ham ameer hain) -2
Mitte jo pyaar ke liye woh zindagi
Jale bahaar ke liye woh zindagi
Kisi ko ho na ho hamein to aitbaar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai
(Rishta dil se dil ke aitbaar ka
Zinda hai hameen se naam pyaar ka) -2
Ke mar ke bhi kisi ko yaad aayenge
Kisi ke aansuon mein muskuraayenge
Kahega phool har kali se baar baar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai
Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar..

To offer yourself to someone for smiles,
To share someone’s grief,
To have love in your heart for someone,
This is what life is all about.
Granted, we are poor, by the standard of our pockets.
Even so, we are rich at heart .
Perish for love that is Life,
Crave for spring that is life,
This we believe, though others may not,
That this is what life is all about.
Relationship between the heart and the hearts trust,
The name of love lives on because of us.
Even if we die, we will be remembered by someone,
That we will smile through someone’s tears,
A flower will tell a bud, on and on,
That this is what life is all about!!!
