I think it is fair to now count Arnab Goswami as an Anti-Corruption Crusader.

As a general rule I am not much for tv news anchors, because they always seem to be hushing up the people whose views I want to listen to and they always run out of time after getting a debate going.

But on this Anti-Corruption-Movement coverage, Arnab is the only guy, I want to listen to. Over the past few weeks I perceive a change in his manner. he is no longer just a tv news anchor. He cares about what happens to and in the country on this issue.

So I read up a bit on him.

অৰ্ণব গোস্বামী, अर्नाब गोस्वामी  is an Assam born news anchor on Times Now and also the editor-in-chief.

Wikipedia has this to say, “Arnab Goswami was born in GuwahatiAssam.[1][2] He comes from a family of eminent jurists. His paternal grandfather, Rajani Kanta Goswami, was a well known lawyer, a congress leader and a freedom fighter.[3] His maternal grandfather, Gauri Sankar Bhattacharya, was a leader of the opposition in Assam for many years.[3] He was a freedom fighter, an intellectual writer and a recipient of the Asom Sahitya Sabha Award. As an army officer‘s son,[3] he attended schools in various cities.[2] He passed his 10th Standard board examinations from St Mary’s School in Delhi Cantonment, his 12th Standard board exams from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jabalpur Cantonment. Arnab graduated in Sociology from Hindu College. He has completed his Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from Oxford University (St. Antony’s College, 1994) where he was a felixscholar. In 2000, he was a visiting fellow at the International Studies Department at Cambridge University (Sidney Sussex College) where he was a D C Pavate fellow.[2][4]

Wow! Hats off!

I have not liked him too much in the past and may yet disagree with him in the future.

But I am very, very grateful for the almost continuous and supportive coverage of the Anna Hazaare movement on Times Now. I watch this channel because they also let me hear the voices of the ordinary people in the movement and not just the super-powerful and super-famous and often super-smug!
