Sri Maha Vishnu continued telling Indradyumna‘s story to the Munis.
“Having known Me, famous as vAsudEva, in whom the indestructible vidyA and avidyA, of secret form are both placed, whom the knowledgeable regard as param brahma,
He (Indradyumna) worshipped Me as the refuge of all all beings the highest master, by vratAs (special pUjAs), fasts, principles and feeding Brahmans.
He adored mahAdEva, who lives in the hearts of yOgIs, desirous only of Him, bowing only to Him, dedicated only to him and taking only Him as support.
Once, paramA kalA (the highest Art), showed Her form, which emanates from Vishnu to him who was thus engaged (in worship).
Having seen Her, the darling of bhagwAn viSNu, he praised Her with many stOtrAs with a bowed head and joined palms.
Indradyumna said :
“Who are you dEvi visAlAkSI (of large eyes), who bear the auspicious signs of Vishnu, please tell me now your essence (meaning – bhAva ) as it is (yAthAtathyEna).”
{kA tvam dEvi vis’alAkSI viSNucihnAnkitE s’uBhE, yAthAtathyEna vai bhAvam tavEdAnIm bravIhi mE}
Having heard that sentence of his, the well pleased auspicious one (sumangalA) smilingly thought of her dear Vishnu and said to the brahmin.
“The munis and the dEvAs (Devas), Indra and others do not see me. I alone am that parA Maya, whose self is nArAyaNa. I am that omni-present highest Lord, the highest brahman, absorbed in Him (made of the same stuff). Those who think about these things see no difference between Me and nArAyaNa.
I don’t influence those people who worship by gnyAna and karmayOga, here (in this world), that paramEs’vara, who pervades all beings.
Therefore take the support of karmayoga and and through gnyAna worship that infinite one with no beginning or end and you will attaing mOkSa (Moksha).
Then best of munis of great intelligence, Indradyumna, bowing with his head and joining his palms, said again,
“How is it possible to know that eternal, niSkala, bhagwAn, according to whose will this world moves (Is’a)? Please tell me paramEs’varI!”
Then kamalavAsinI (one who lives in a lotus), dEvI told that muni that nArAyaNa himself would give that gnyAna.
She then auspiciously touched both the hands of that muni, remembered Vishnu is beyond the “other” (parAtpara – beyond the beyond) and disappeared there itself.
