Gandhiji Thinking. Gandhiji Inspires Me. He makes me feel strong.

Sometimes we think because we want to plan things and sometimes we think because something makes us worry. Sometimes an incident or word provokes us into thought.

Doing things when you are thinking about other things makes you absent-minded.

If you are with some other people, then they might feel you are not “there” with them or for them.

You are likely to burn your cooking or make mistakes in what you are doing. The people you are with may feel that you don’t care enough for them.

So it’s best if you have a time and place for thinking.

A “thinking room” or chair. Maybe even a thinking posture – an Asana for aalOcana!

Maybe something to write on.

Then think away.

Sometimes thoughts are mixed up with feelings.

It is hard to think clearly, while a feeling is insisting on being felt.

So sit and feel your feeling completely. Whether it is anger or happiness or sadness – all feelings run out after a bit. They last long only if you refuse to feel them. So feel away. Feelings are good and natural. People will tell you to control your feelings at least in front of other people. Your tears might make them feel sad, your laughter might make them feel sad. But your feelings will create feelings in other people, and some times this is not a good thing for them, and sometimes it is not a good thing for you.

And if you are feeling a light subtle feeling, the presence of others or their thoughts and words may spoil your feeling!

Sometimes other people, like friends and family make you feel happy, or sad or angry or peaceful. It helps if you know how different people make you feel. You can change your feelings by being with the right people. Sometimes feelings are the reason you want to think about a problem and solve it!

Feelings will affect your health and how long you live.
Activities and People and Incidents and your own Health affect your feelings.

So, in your alone time, after your feelings are all “felt out” and you feel calm, then think.

  1. Are you trying to understand something?
  2. Are you trying to make some thing?
  3. Are you trying to take a decision?
  4. Solve a problem?
  5. Build a plane?
  6. …free a country?

Thoughts and Insights
The Dhi or thinking part of our mind loves toy with various ideas and understand them to convert them into buddhi! My efforts in that direction :
