I was surprised when Rahul Gandhi said he was a brahmin, because I used to think he was christian. But I discovered that there is caste of Roman Catholic Brahmin also called Bommans, converted in portugese times. So there are brahmins in other religions too.
In future I’ll have to remember the distinction.
