Turn west at Thondebhavi to Manchenahalli. Lovely route. At Manchenahalli turn south onto 69 towards chikballapur.
Monkey land starts there till the lovely route ends at chikballapur.
If you have time for more beauty take the nandi hills – doddaballapur route – else nh 7 is the quickest way back to bangalore.
kandavara lake near chikballapur is dry though pretty and the roads are narrow and nightmarish. ok for a bike, not a car.
